Amazon's listing policies require all seasonal, holiday, and other decorative string lights to be certified to the UL588 standard.

Amazon defines decorative string lights as lighting products and accessories that are portable, plug-connected, and for temporary-use and that have a maximum 120-volt input voltage rating.

In order to sell these products on Amazon, you must apply and submit the following:

1. Documentation evidencing that all decorative string lights and related products you are applying to sell are certified under UL588

2. Product image of the plug displaying holes in the prongs, image of UL Hologram attached to the string lights and image of white label attached to the string lights displaying UL number.

By applying to sell these products, you certify that all materials you submit in conjunction with your application are true, authentic, and accurate. Note that Amazon may remove your selling privileges for failing to meet these requirements.&
