It measures the Hp(10) of the radiation equivalent dose rate and accumulated dose simultaneously, and records 160 historical data of accumulated dose in every 0.5min, 1min, 3min, 5min,10 min, 30min interval chosen by the wearer. The alarm threshold for dose rate and accumulated dose are programmed manually by pressing the two buttons on front panel and audible alarm is activated whenever the alarm threshold is overstepped. The RDS-58 has been designed as a stand alone dosimeter, however, it can transmit data to the data bank for retrieval and further analysis by means of an infrared reader interfaced to a computer. The dedicated software manages the recorded data and outputs various statistic tables or graphs by request of the operator.
